New Daily Essentials!

I have been a devoted MAC girl since high school, but have recently made a very unexpected move after trying the Bare Minerals products. I was introduced to it last summer when visiting my best friend, Kate. After a trip to the gym, I realized that I didn't have any makeup with me, so I borrowed some from her. I must admit that I was very doubtful that this solely powder based product would be nearly as good as my favourite MAC Studio Tech foundation and pressed powder, but  I was pleasantly surprised and later on found myself constantly thinking about how fresh and good I felt that day.

When I recently ran out of foundation, powder and bronzer, I decided to take a peek at the Bare Essentials product at Sephora. Turns out they have a starter kit that comes with oodles of stuff for only $70. Definitely worth the try!

While I didn't use the instructional DVD that came with the package, the book was helpful and the application is incredibly easy to master.

Dapper Gents

Our best friends, Kate and Rob, are getting married in September and are right now working through the suit stage. If you've planned a wedding, you know this part. Finding a suit/tux, shirt and tie that can satisfy everyone is a feat. Well, folks, I think they may have found the solution to this little issue: Indochino.

IndoChino is an online custom tailored suit shop that seems too good to be true! To make thing even more glorious, they are currently running a 25% discount promotion plus a free tailored shirt and tie (sale is on until the 28th of March, but there are always plenty of other offers going around!). Suit prices start at around USD300 and with the discount plus free shirt and tie, what more could you ask for? How about free shipping via Fed Ex plus the coverage of any customs costs? That’s right, you heard me. This is ridiculously good!

SO, HOW DOES IT WORK?1.    Pick your suit.
2.    Enter your measurements (probably best to go to a tailor and get it done) and any customizations.
3.    Place your order
4.  Wait two weeks and your purchase has arrived!

THE RETURN POLICY.
Having worked many, many years in retail, I have a complete understanding of how important it is to clients to have a fantastic return policy. And that, it appears, IndoChino, does have! What happens if your fabulous new suit arrives and it’s not quite the right fit? Well, they have 'The world's first and only 100% Perfect Fit Promise’. If your suit is anything less than perfect, take it to your tailor and have it adjusted. Simply bill Indochino for any charges up to $75. If your suit was not what you expected, return it for a full refund.

I’ll let you know how our experience goes once we order! Hopefully they are as good as they say they are.

Sunshine Coast

I'm clearly on a kick with creating inspiration boards! I find them such an easy way to let my creative side have its say. The inspiration for each one comes from something different; it could be a piece of clothing, food, a feeling, or thought! This is my latest creation inspired by today's bright, beautiful sunshine that says spring and summer aren't too far away!

A Little Country. A Lot of Love.

The purity of the the country chic style gets me every time. There are so many things you can do with this style and so many different twists in which you can take it. I love mixing classic colours, clean lines, shiny silvers and rustic textures.  If only I could get married 100 times!
